Great Grandma Easdale's Sewing Circle

The start of something wonderful
the girls in the family getting together on a regular basis to share skills
learn new ones and just hang out together
Thanks to inspiration from Holly
we started our first sewing circle with rag rugs
it took a while to get the hang of it but we had some great creations
I can see how easy it is to get addicted to it Holly
My hands......they hurt......a lot!

Tearing the night before for those that didn't bring rags.
Got some good upper body strength now!

The lovely Grandma Easdale!

Grandma showing Sarah how to get started

Mum and Aunt Debbie hard at work

The beginning of my bathroom rug

Aunt Debbie's pot holder, and the start of mum and grandmas rugs.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product

My favorite part of the afternoon was the entertainment!
Next up we are making quilts.

Oh, wow! That looks like fun. And I love the orange for your bathroom. Looks like you did a great job. I hope you show a pic when it's finished. :)

How fantastic Melissa, there is something magical about the women folk coming together and being creative. What a wonderful tradition to start. Love the orange!
