Weekending

Southbank

We headed to South Bank this morning

for a walk around the Museum,
a muck around on the grass
and a lovely lunch with my man
Getting over being burnt from yesterdays
dip in the sea and trying to race through the chores this afternoon
so i can try to dig out my sewing machine and
learn how to sew again. Its been a few months since my needle broke.
Such a simple thing that could have been fixed in a
few minutes but i chose to put it away.

Beach Day

Our day was spent at Moffat Beach on the Sunshine Coast.
When we arrived we all lit up with the sight of the ocean. Nothing beats it!

Alma Park Zoo

We had such a wonderful day together. Smooth sailing through traffic both ways.
Ellie was so eager to meet all the animals and made friends with all the other children
she came across too.
She got a professional photo with the Koala which is just adorable.
She said next time she will get a photo taken with the python.
Sure sure Ellie.
The donkeys were a hoot. They put their mouth as per picture so we can pour the animal pellets in to feed them.
We spent at least an hour following peacocks, one of them kindly offering us this little token of their affection.
We will be back in a few weeks as we bought a yearly pass.
For the last half an hour of our visit Ellie spent it singing Buffalo Soldier to the water buffalo.
The Buffalo didn't seem to be too entertained but the people looking at them with us were in tears.
Good days, beautiful memories.

Road trip!

Ellie and I are off to Alma Park Zoo for the day today.
She is sooooo excited.

Fire Fighting Championships

We spent the weekend in the wet watching Ryan in the Regional Fire Fighting Championships.
With picnic blanket and basket in the boot we set out at 7.30 in the morning to Ipswich Limestone Park.








They did fairly well, placing third in one event, with Mount Tamborine dominating the Championships.

Hi from Sea World

all back where we should be...

Yes we are back from Canberra and from the rest of our holidays, still catching up on unpacking, cleaning and creating. Canberra was beautiful, finally saw snow! Still rather busy so i will leave you with some pictures over the next few days. Notice i figured out how to link my (very empty and new) etsy shop :-)) I am very excited over this link. Big things baby!
