Boxes bought from the local fruit market for $3 a box. Made into roasted capsicum, tomato and zucchini relish and preserved.
Doesn't look like much. I got 17 large jars filled as well as plenty of food for the chooks and worms. Will be used for nachos, spaghetti and what ever other tomato based meals i come up with. Wondering how many days it is going to take me to get the smell of onion and curry out of my house. I priced this at around $20 to make and the jars around $5 each. Thats $85 dollars worth. I'm happy with that!
Ok, so it has taken me around 5 hours to come up with something interesting to make for my first installment of Christmas gifts. I am going to be using these hoops and appliqueing. Wall hoops? That's the best I have, but the picture in my mind is something very sweet. And they were picked up at the thrift store for only $2 each :-) There will be pictures! The apple butter is divine! Home made bread will be ready by the time the kids get home from school. Ellie saved all the little apples from the chopping board.
