Its Hot

I feel exactly like the spinach, wilted.
Its not really all that hot, i have a sinus infection so I'm a tad whingy.
The dog next door agrees with me though.
Do you know how hard it is to get this poor guy some water through a crack in the fence?
(not my dog obviously)

Welcome Spring

We may not have flowers blooming but we have poison wall rivers to keep the baddies out

We have troops guarding the kingdom gates

A hint of green in our Roxy as she grows up

A new member to our family. Blossom, Sarah's birthday present, saved from the pet store.

A mountain of material crying out to be torn and pricked with needles

I think this Spring we will be splashing our own colors around the place

bleugh

What a bad day, pressures and paperwork, crankyness and tears. Tantrums and aggressive behavior (not by me i promise) Sarah cracked her cast and i think Ellie broke her arm too. She fell over running through a thrift store today......" how many times have i told you not to run inside Ellie" was what came out of my mouth. If i could go back to that moment I would have picked her up in my arms and kissed her booboo and told her i love her.
The house was fumigated today for german cockies (i hate em!)
Thankfully my girl looked after me and my tribe till it was bed time as the floors in the bathrooms and kitchen have surface spray on them that cant be washed off for a whole week (whaaaaa)
Its going to be fun keeping the kids out of the house for a while.
Tomorrow will be spent at the doctors and hospital again.....

Showing up

Another day, another chance
Up with the sun to sort through the junk
Five lives to guide and another to struggle with
No matter how hard it may be
I'm going to keep showing up

Breakfast

We had a wonderful day yesterday at the beach, leaving at sunset.
When we got home the block had no power (which is exciting for the kids)
No computer for mum!
These shots are awesome. Cockatoo stealing from our passion fruit vine this foggy morning.
We are happy to share though especially when he sticks around so we can take photos.

Sunday Morning

Its a chilly Sunday morning here. I have 5 little bunnies still tucked up sleeping soundly in bed.
Unusual dreams have kept me waking through out the night.
My hopes for today:
  1. There's lots of smiles to be given to one another
  2. Something yummy comes out of the oven (yes its going to be snicker doodles! Thanks Stephanie
  3. That we get through Sacrament without the 11 month, 2 year and 5 year old (Ellie would never but sometimes she surprises me) throwing tantrums, toys and limbs around the Chapel.
  4. Tonight i would love to sit down and start work on our first ever homeschooling week. I know it doesn't start till next year but its grade 1. Why wait? Its the planning and following through that i have to worry about. I'm not really all that great with time management but i plan to master it.
  5. Last but not least find some lovely photos to go along with this post.

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend, be it Saturday or Sunday, Summer or Winter where you are.

Back again

I have had a wonderful rest over the past week. I got 4 days of respite over the weekend and at the beginning of the week and i feel so refreshed and revived. Flu free too!

The Envirosax in action. We got lots of compliments and lots of sales for the company.
Not all of them come with the little loop that helps the checkout assistants keep the bag up so there was some frustration (which Ellie found amusing)
I have washed a few and found they become weak very fast. These will do until i make some linen bags like the striped quilted one at the front on the right (Beauty that moves)

I feel that my hair needs some rethinking. I have no greys yet (don't say you can see any) but i am losing my natural colour. Where did my shine go? It used to be darker with a copper glow but i don't think i am ready to start dyeing it.
This is wash, wrap in a towel for a few minutes then brush. The rest of the morning it gets flicked about.
Ellie's lunch masterpiece. white bread roll, butter, honey, banana, strawberry and fairy sprinkles

New look

just trying this template out for a while. Seems to let me display photographs better.
