For those of you wanting to know what is happening our way.
Still not going to come near us so we are safe.
We did go for a drive to Oxley to see if we could get to friends
and persuade them to come with us to dry ground.
On our way back home some roads got cut off and i freaked a little (ha)
but hubby found another way home so all is good.
Our favorite park the kids used to play at when they were younger
Brisbane river overflowing at Rocks River Park
Petrol station gone under from the creek and water is still rising
The king tide will come again tonight and the waters will rise higher.
Thankfully its a slow rise so people have time to get out.
Its gonna be a big cleanup when its all over!
*the river didnt rise as far as they predicted but over 30,ooo homes and businesses have been affected by the flood*

So glad to hear that you are still safe and thankfully the alert for today isn't as bad as originally predicted - so many people have suffered so much already. We actually have some sunshine today which is nice to see.
