I have been wanting to make a Gratitude Tree all year
but i thought it was a good tradition to keep for the Advent month
We invited family around for dinner and had a lesson on Gratitude
Taking turns filling the cup with a spoonful of water as we
said what we are thankful for until the cup overflowed
representing the blessings that we receive from the Lord
and the overflowing love that he has for us
Each taking turns to write something that we are thankful for on a leaf
and placing it on the tree
The tree looks so pretty in the kitchen
and reminds me every time i see it
to be thankful for my family

Such beautiful symbolism Melissa...just lovely!
Oh, it's so pretty! I love that they're hung on strings!!
Ours was just taped to branches... your way is much better! I must remember that for next year. :)
I love the idea of a Gratitude Tree and was going to do one for Thanks Giving seeing as we were in the US - seemed a perfect opportunity but I forgot!!
I think I will start one this week - we normally say 3 gratitudes before dinner each evening so I will just change it to writing 1 down and hanging it on the branch.
Love love love yours, it does look really pretty!!
