When i woke this morning i thought it was going to be a good day.
The girls were having a swimming lesson early in the morning, the big kids were off to school
and we were attending a big park get together of all the homeschoolers in the area.
Very exciting!
The swimming lesson went well, Ellie didn't use the kick board and put her head under water a lot.
We were almost at the park when i received a call from the school.
They said that Sarah had an accident and was complaining of a sore arm.
They didn't think much of it but wanted me to come anyway.
She was upset, arm in a sling but happy to see me. The last time she had an injury
i fobbed it off and 2 weeks later when it wasn't getting any better took her to the doctors to find out she had broken her finger.
1 hour of waiting at the doctors, the doctor said that there is a 2 percent chance of a break but just see how she goes in the next few days.
I asked for an xray anyway knowing my track record.

Another hour waiting at the local hospital for an xray (the babies did very well, playing and hanging about)
They said it was a greenstick fracture and that it would have to be set

The 2 year old was so tired she walked holding my hand from the car with her eyes closed,
found a nice spot (anywhere would have been fine for her) and crashed.
And back at the doctors again!
Her arm had plaster underneath it, wrapped in a bandage and she has to keep it like that for 4 weeks.
It cant be bent and i was shocked to hear that i cant change the bandage either.
I think i will have to make some fancy slings for her to wear to cheer her up
It didn't spoil her appetite.
It was a good day overall.

I hope she gets used to it quickly, and it doesn't bother her overmuch.

Oh the poor dear! That x-ray looks painful! Having an appetite after all that-a very good sign!
Feel better, Sarah!

my son got a hairline fracture in his elbow and had it bandaged for about 6 weeks, so I know what that's like waiting at the doctors...not fun! I know a cute sling would make me feel better!
