Mmmmm Cabbage!


I started this yesterday.
We were given two very large cabbages. For a family that doesn't like cabbage... what could i do with it?
I sliced and cleaned, then boiled with half a cup of salt in each pot. Just enough to make it tender. Then i bottled and preserved it in my urn. Fairly simple. I think i will use a bottle each time i make chicken noodle soup.
I just couldn't let it go to waste and I had to dust off my preserving skills as I haven't preserved anything for a while.
