Ellie had a day of presents, shopping, lots of food and plenty of family love.
The morning started off with me getting up at 5 to make birthday scones at the request of the princess. I did plan on going back to bed when they were cooked but i got the idea to make a "quick" birthday hat which ended up taking me 2 hours.
She was very happy with the outcome with tears in her eyes.
Gotta love a 5 year olds enthusiasm!
A made the night before Apple and Nectarine birthday pie from my preserves.
I was teary for most of the day. So happy to be celebrating 5 years but after seeing how fast it flies I am desperately trying to grasp hold and not let her go.
